Whenever I paint a jig, the paint always seems to change colors, or at least shades. It always comes out darker. I don't understand why it changes colors between the jar and the finished jig.
I do not know the answer. To me the jar looks yellow, from your picture it looks part yellow part green mix. I don't know why it darkens. My guess would be your getting the head to hot and it's sort of burning the paint some.... but that's guessing. If this is a consistent then maybe it's just the paint???

Take 5 jig heads and heat each one a less count than the last in the flame and see how they come out.
Mine were coming out dark and smokey while using denatured alcohol burner. Don't know if it was heat or soot.
Went with a mini heat gun and my problems went away.
