    Default Froze In

We had a bit of a snowstorm here in Springfield Mo over the last couple days which the local weather said dropped 9"+ of snow. I live in a trailer park on a hill. The owners say they aren't going to do nothing with it like get it plowed so till I can get out I'm sort of froze in. To help while away the time I went on-line to the county library and found a great book on tying. Now granted it's more directed at saltwater Streamers, and Pike, large trout and such, there is still a large amount of info. It's called Fleye Design: Techniques, Insights, Patterns. It sells for between $45.87 and $38.00 on Amazon. I looked in the library and they had it available on Hoopla for free. So far, I think it's an outstanding read. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else is interested. I believe it will help me in my tying.
Just before the storm, I received a package from a fellow member with some fox squirrel tails and a racoon tail. I also found a Fox tail, as well as a coyote patch in the local fly shop. So I'll be playing with that. Momma still home as the weather was going to be real rough, she drives semi's reginal, and has me a bit busy on honey do's i can do in the house. Just hoping it's going to stay sunny a few days to get the roads in better shape. That's it for now. will post up some pic's when I get some done up...

Hang in there, this stuff has to be about done. Not much snow here but 2 degrees has me not wanting to be outside much. Carry out the trash is a stretch.

I'll agree 100% GrumpyLoomis. That cold is a killer on my knees and ankle. I did get most of the front deck clear, and the sidewalk down to the vehicles, and that took most of the day. Kept having to come in and warm my joints.

I tried to clear our walk but there is about an inch of ice under the snow. I gave up, fed the chickens and came in. Look forward to seeing your results Eric!

Awesome… make a snowman, have a snowball fight and lastly a snow Angel. Then come inside to drink hot chocolate, warm up and tie some jigs and flies! Sounds pretty good to me. Looking forward to seeing your results.

I think I'll just stay in, with some hot coffee, and tie some up. My joints will thank me later...lol
