Z520tom, I’ve never seen a Crappie jig tied with mallard flank feathers, but I’ve thought about it. I have plenty of feathers on hand. How well does it work for you? Catch many fish on it? I also have a nice stock of wood duck feathers. Have you ever tried that? I’ve got both the plain flank feathers, but I also have some with the heavy white and black barring at the tip.

I use them in cold water situations a lot. Never tied wood duck flank feathers. Do a you tube searching and you will find a lot of tying instructions for malaria flank feathers.
