Jeez, Gill, that’s about as bad as it gets! That said, it shows a lot of action going on. A thread on the “messiest desk” would probably be a hoot! Anyway, keep on tying - always interesting things to see.

It’s a well used tying desk/table in an area no one sees .
When I’m in the tying mood , I’ll tie two or three times a day .
I used to sit and tie for hours , now I’ll tie 2-4 jigs then I have to rest .
Can’t see putting stuff away every time I tie .
That old Regal style vise is at least 25 years old and has tied thousands of flies and jigs .
Ever see an artist’s studio ?

Those old Regals are built like a tank. A lifetime investment. Artists have their own methods of organization, that’s for sure!

Well, I'm also a messy tyer... no real organization.
But if others will show their mess, I will, too. I'm using a corner of a small desk, with my threads and tools thrown into the drawers...my home-made tying vise, is mounted to a piece of scrap stair tread wood, my glues, my jig heads, my flash hanging on the hanger on the wall calendar...my heat gun, my grocery trash bag hanging from one desk drawer below the vise! My tying stuff is all over the place!

Thanks. I tie a lot of flies and jigs at times. Playing around with underspins right now between leather projects for my muzzleloader affliction and building me a pole barn out back.
