Default DIY Jighead Holder For Gluing On Eyes

I have had over the years several people ask me about my holder with Micanopy asking today. It’s very simple. All material were purchased at Lowes. The board is a precut board that is held together by 4 screws, 2 on each side. Make sure to pre-drill and countersink screws. I then used two pieces of weather stripping that has adhesive backing on one side. I ran them side by side on one piece of wood and then screwed the two pieces wood together. You won’t be able to slide jig in on side to at has the adhesive backing but will the other side. Has worked perfectly for years now.

Pretty slick DrNip! Love that last shot with the jigs in it. I have the metal clamps from CS coatings I use for baking I can turn on the side. I think I might make one of these with some scrap wood I have. Thanks for sharing this idea.

You’re welcome. I need to make another too as sometimes I fill it up. Don’t know if you saw my post awhile back but I switched to BSI 30 epoxy for gluing my eyes.

Yeah this was my cheap alternative to the clamps years ago. I never used the clamps for baking until several months ago.

Great idea. I’d have to try putting a hinge on it. It wouldn’t hold as many but it would help with time invested. I see it works just fine.

Jigheads slide right in with ease and stay put this way.
