Can’t beat spending a few hours at the tying bench when it’s too nasty outside to wet a line !

You still have a long way to go down this road and it seems to never end really, lol!

However it is a lot of fun and you can do this for a long time.

I was having a blast over the weekend just painting the jig heads. I received confirmation that my order is on its way. This coming weekend is looking like rain so I'm planning on spending some time at the vise.

It's an exciting time when you are just starting out learning as much as you can and finding something new almost every day. Just enjoy the ride and have fun, that's really what it's about. I still after over 15 years tying find things all the time I want to do.

I agree Takeum, I always used to pour a few extra jigs and then test paint some to get heat time correct for the size jig and paint I was using for that set. But I always fished my practice paint jobs and those crappie did not seem to my flaws as much as I did.

I have tried all the different heat sources and found a heat gun is the best option for me. I paid $30 for a Porter Cable heat gun off Amazon.
