    Default Need Jig Tying Info

When you guys tie a 1/16 oz feather jig, how many “V’s” do you use on each jig and how many hackle tips? What about a 1/32oz?

Also, what colors of Chenille and feathers do you like for really clear water?

I’ve been tying flies all my life but haven’t had much luck catching Crappie on my jigs. Need some help.

I like solid white for clear water.

Since you’re a fly tier, just tie a woolly bugger on a jig hook and leave off the hackle.

I prefer just using saddle hackle tips. 1/16oz I use 3. Crappie loves em too. Sometimes I line them up to where they are on top of each other perfect and sometimes not so they’re fanned out a bit.
