LOL the 2 daughters thing!
Originally about 15 years ago I use 2 V's and everyone loved them just like that, but later on I just wanted a little more especially if the hackle was not as nice. Now I usually use 3 V's on my tail and one tip. However that can change for the hackle I am using and if it looks a bit thin I may add another one, but usually good Saltwater Neck Hackle 3 does great.
Keep in mine one of the most famous jigs the Gray Ghost had no tip in the tail and was all just the little V's and that also makes a nice tail, just use another to look good and not over stuffed.

A simple tie.
I’ve started doing a lot more jigs with all V’s for that short compact look like the original Gray Ghost. I sort of like them now.

What Skip and Dave said. I use 1 tip and 3 or 4 V’s on a lot of my jigs. Lately I’m tying small jigs, under 1/32, and use just V’s and just 3 turns of small or micro chenille. Point is, as little as I can get away with. Minimalist approach I guess. The fish like em fine. If I use flash it’s only 1 or 2 pieces. More also works but there is a point of overkill IMHO. Tie to satisfy your ideas and let the fish help you refine them.
