Nice-looking, balanced baits...staying hungry(creative) means NOT staying hungry for fish dinners!

They work. Four and a half hours from leaving the driveway to filets vacuum packed in freezer and boat plugged in for tomorrow. The jigs worked pretty good. The bigger fish were targeting the larger jig. The 3” Booty Thumper what been trimmed some.

Saw one of my buddies out there. He was shouting out advice. I like that about him. Always trying to help me out. He had Cowboy riding in the back.

I wanted to see if my skill set would transfer when I changed locations. That other lake has become far far too popular for my taste. This lake has a few issues but several of my fish gagged up minnows as they flopped about on the deck so I am thinking it will be just fine.
Maybe they will bite this one……

I fish out of an aluminum boat. I would essentially be a vig lightening rod

Got rough today, and was only getting mediums. Quit a few fish early.

Today the Slabonater baits did the best.

The to[ picture is of a local lake from above on the roadway. Reminds me of a scene from Africa.

We drive on parkways and park on driveways and no one seems to mind at all.

Gonna try a different lake today. All set to head off now, and try my skill set there. I am expecting disappointing results but feel the need to at least try.

Yesterday I refused to stray from my plan by switching jigs. Gonna try to stay with the same setup for today.

You can see a long ways down on the flat land. You look to far here you see mountains. You had mentioned fall colors on the trees a bit ago. I will post some photos if I find any trees changing. This year isn't going to be a good uear for fall color leaves. As soon as they start to turn they fall off.

Same here in the NE. A lot of folks are saying you are going to go way up north this year if you want the fall foliage.
