Hey my neighbor and I really got into them at the beginning of their spawn back a few year, I mean all big male black crappie. That first week I had all I needed for the year in my freezer and he also had that plus his sister and another family member or two. Anyway the reason for me even telling this part is he got really lucky about not loosing his jig and after several days of fishing he decided to retire it and the marabou tail was not mock more than a nice spot of Chartreuse, lol! That happen to be after 125 crappie caught on that jig. Just saying, they eat them tails off, but it take a good many to finish the job, lol!
