I got a old worn out back. It’s been hurting real bad stopping me from doing just about anything the past couple of weeks. Had a MRI and starting the dance with doctors and insurance. Injections coming up Thursday. They never worked before but I’m really hope they work this time for a little while. I’m tired of surgeries. Anyhow, I’ve got everything ready to pour some jigs and the powder paint setup is complete and ready to go. So I’ll keep the thread alive with some pictures of my setup in the morning. I do better in the mornings.

Here’s another set I just finished up. This will be it for the week as sister-in-law’s husband just passed away suddenly.

I appreciate that Dave. It’s tough trying to talk someone into not taking their own life but sometimes you just can’t seem to get your point across. It’s a shame and very tough on the immediate family. I’m over four hours away and have spinal injections scheduled for the morning so it will be late tomorrow of Friday morning before I can get my wife there. Anyhow as tough as it is sometimes life does go on.
so I got home this afternoon and the UPS guy knows my back is in need of attention and placed my order of 20# of lead on my fishing shelf’s and put it right beside what I thought was and old cast net. Lo and behold there was 13# of lead in that box.

RJR, I too am sorry for you and your health issues. I too lost my Nephew at a young age from the same problem. If you need to vent please do so. Perhaps no one really listens but I know it can make me fell better when I do it. Pain is felt for you.

I was looking at them castnet weights and they look like that funny stuff. Many nets don’t use lead. The lead weights I have seen are shaped differently. I would be suspicious of them and melt them separately, if they melt at all, might just catch fire.
Maybe they will bite this one……

The funny looking ones are poured bullets for a muzzle loader. They need to be melted back down and repoured.
