    Default new eyes

This may be a little off subject but I hope it is a go.
I am having cataract surgery next month. There is a choice of two different lens inserts. One is the standard ones that are covered under Medicare and the other are special lenses that can help with close up micro work. The second have a cost of 2 thousand dollars out of pocket expense and I do not know of anyone who has got them.
Any personal advice is very much appreciated.

Pay the $2,000.00 per eye, I did and my wife did as well, actually I think my wife's were $4,000.00 per eye! The Medicare ones you have to choose if you want to see good far or near, not both so will need glasses foe what ever yours done have.
They are better now than when I got my implants since mine were something like 8-10 years ago. The surgery is not bad at all.

Just make sure you have a good Doc that has done a lot.

My dad got implants long ago, really new then, he never needed glasses the rest of his life. He said the thought of the surger was way worse than actually getting it. Good luck.

Not really, your brain and eyes just know how to do what they do. I can't tell anything like a bi or tri, just see well.

I am telling you this, if you have or choose a good Doctor doing this, all will be great and you have nothing to fret about, really!

They may forget to tell you that maybe a couple years later you may need to go back to have scar tissue removed, I did. That was nothing at all, just maybe 1 minute with the Doc and his laser and all cleared out. SO I have see that maybe 80 % of the people need to do this, but it's a breeze.

I can drive at night and don't really have any trouble, but it's been a long time since I got mine done so I don't remember if there was anything that was different at night driving. Sorry my memory is not what it use to be, lol!
