Older Beetle Spins my friend gave me will add some sound and vibration. My local lakes are brown and green with visibility at about two inches.

Love watching your ideas and skills progress. The twin tails look great and I’m patiently waiting to see you try small jigs, but you have to have a need first or it’s of little value. Good job on putting some things in the wife’s hands and watching the show. You’ll find what works best for where you fish, good luck with it all.

As we all know, Dr Nip loves his eyes. So he recommended a supplier of 3d eyes and I ordered me some up. They came today, which wasn’t but a couple of weeks time. Not bad at all really considering my Prime account can take longer. LOL

Anyways I applied glue and stuck on a few eyes and must say they do make a huge difference. Maybe the fish will refuse to be impressed, but for the time I take in making these jigs, adding the eyes certainly makes sense.

The quality is excellent for being inexpensive. I plan to go back and order some more of a different variety, somewhat more expensive. Dr Nip has made me a believer. Between him and Jungle Jim my jigs look like little creatures.

Yes I have been making the 3/16 and 1/4 ounce size jigs because they are being dredged behind my planer boards and I want something that will handle the extra movement. A little extra weight. I have made some lighter weight jig heads and added wire keepers because these are for soft plastic baits. The Bat Jig especially as the short shank hook allows the bait lots of movement. I plan to make smaller ties as well but smaller is harder to manage. You know that and so I am taking my time going there. I want to learn about feathers before I do go small.

Can you tell me why smaller sizes are more appealing to the fish ?
