For me it depends on the water clarity and the weather, meaning if it's cloudy or not. I have a range of colors I use depending entirely on these in spring long lining.

    See pic and description below.

First and 4th jig colors are for stained water, meaning you can see you jig down 1 1/2' to 2 1/2'.
2nd jig is for after a big rain and the water is really stained.
Last 2 jigs is for Clear water, can see jig 3' or more down.
Now the colors for clear and stained can be impacted by clouds, if really cloudy for example,
the stained water may be better, but if the sun pops out it can change to the clear water ones.
I know that last thing can be a little confusing, but so can the crappie be confusing, lol!

Man they all look nice and Skip said it all. You will catch fish with every one. I like to concentrate on contrasting colors and you nailed that too. Now put those jigs in a box with foam to stick the hooks in so they don't slide around and curl your tails.

When I am using jigs I made these drying rigs. This is not my design, I had seen it some place. As you can see I have a jig on it for drying out. Name: 20210419_180850.jpg

When I was working as a carpenter, sometimes one of my tools would get stuck to someone else's fingers. I painted my job site tools pank and no one would touch em.
Pie like pank and carpenters don't.

That's what I do as well. If not on my rods then I throw them in the tray in bottom of kayak until I get home then put on pool noodle to dry.
