That is what I do as well. I have the rolling storage bin like SK, and then a tackle box, some other boxes, some other bins, and then some other bags. Wow I've accumulated a lot of stuff....

Space is a premium, I spend as much time getting stuff out and set up as I do tying. But that is the way it goes, the lil woman isn't much for stuff out in our tiny house and I am not tying. Can't blame her though as we still need the dining room table. lol

I made a folding table like an old army field table. when folded it's approx. 3" thick and the top is 28.5x41.5. larger top than the standard military field table, but what the heck. storage at the moment is plastic shoe storage boxes with lids, even though most wont close any more. feathers I have cut into V's and tips have a smal cream cheese container, one for each color. Looking at getting a couple plastic three or four container and using 1/8th in plyboard ( like plain paneling. I think Lowes calls it floor underlayment), and cut it to fit back and sides to make sure it don't start collapsing after much use...

Underlayment can be used in many projects, strong and doesn't weigh much. With your skills just make the the container to you specs and skip the box.

Grumpy I apologize. I was a bit wore out when I wrote that and should have proof read it, or read what I wrote then edited it. When I was referring to the underlayment, it should have been clarified it was to stiffen up the 3 or 4 drawer plastic cabinet, by attaching it to the back and sides. The top of my little table is becoming quite crowded, and it hurts my back more than it is already trying to fetch a container from the floor....

Just as a side note, one can get one of these foam tool caddies made by Renzetti for the tools and they hold a good bit. Think it would go well next to the home made kind of station.

Just a thought and I have one that I have sitting next to my tying station.
