Orange blades have my vote for our water.

I'm a big fan of orange too. Blades are a custom blend yellow, tap on the orange and dip in a custom clearcoat with micro .004 glitter. Name: IMG_1725.JPG

The pictures don't do these baits justice. Spring can't get here soon enough.

My problem is with the cold weather we've been getting all I can do is keep making them. Once water temps hit 50 is when I will be throwing them. Chartreuse/orange combination works very well here. I like to check out my favorite colors using a UV flashlight. The Fire Tiger color really pops, think fish can see it better.

I am so going to steal this idea.

I like them so much I ordered me up a vise and went to Joann Fabrics and obtained some goodies. Assembling the small split rings is an issue for me though. Can’t seem to manage to properly open them. I am going to have to use larger ones I am afraid. The blade in line like that is awesome. Hope you don’t mind me tying my own. They won’t look as nice but the fish don’t bite my purchased jigs either. LOL

Any clues as to who I should order supplies from ?
Maybe they will bite this one……

Those tiny rings are a pain. I use them now that I get use to the fight but I also use larger ones some times and the fish don't seem to care. I personally buy from Hagens. I am a small time buyer and they always treat me well. They show the price as per 1000 but when I am experimenting they do sell me as few as 10 but add to the price as they have to have a person go and count them out as apposed to just grabbing a pack of 1000.

I fought with split rinds also til I bought a decent pair of split ring pliers designed to make this easier. My hands and eyes can’t fool with them without the pliers. And just start tying, you’ll get better in time.
