    Once in awhile I will get a soft hook with the Mustads, Matzuo sickles even more so when they were in business. At least you caught it before you tied them.

    I just thought it was crazy, 3 of 20 I did was bad, broken inside the lead.1/0 hooks

    Call the seller you bought them from and explain the problem your having and they MAY take them back. Could just be a machine that was way out of adjustment. I have been using sickle hooks and I'm yet to be impressed. I may just go back to Aberdeen j hooks.

    Never had this happen. Batch I received a good chunk of the eyes aren’t fully closed.

    Couple times when I pulled the jigs out of the mold by the hooks instead the of pour head! but that was a problem with Matzuo's on one big run they did. Second Dr.Nip with eyes not all the way closed - but easy enough with that, when watching TV pull out a bunch and close em up so when you pour your ready.

    Old guy question. Did you twist these hooks or are they manufactured that way, never seen them before.

    Not a twist, the hook is broken inside the lead head.
