This may get the job done, might need a little work but the UV in the tail is spot on for what you see in a baby crappie. It looks blue in the picture but is purplish to the eye.
    I like it!

Thanks just started a making/tying jigs a few weeks ago. I find it hard to make what I see in my head.

UV resin, sharpie markers, faux fir, flash

Tail is fake fur, body is flash then started building body up with uv resin. Started coloring with sharpie markers, more uv resin. The glo is uv sharpie under the resin. Eyes are UV resin with gold tensil with a sharpie dot.

Very very cool. Sounds like it took some time to make. I’d have a hard time throwing it in a brush pile....lol. Haven’t seen a whole lot done for jigs using resin. I had thought about trying some but just never have. A++ job! Outstanding representation!

Okay these ties are from a long time back and I may do them a little different now, but here it is, my original Baby Crappie Jigs.

Now also realize when this chenille gets wet it will lay back showing the shiny Silver and Black.

I like them! Is that a black holographic flash on the tail?

Surprisingly they are quick. Maybe 7 min for the first one.. I bet it could get under 5min to make more. Technique is to put a large drop of resin toward the head of jig. Then spin the jig on the rotary vise. Use a toothpick to bring the resin back to the tail. Hit with uv light light and repeat.
