    Default My first buck tails


    I’m not sure how the hair is gonna look in the water. I think I should have tried to get the longer hair in the center of the jig and shorter hair on the top and bottom. Critique away. Thanks.

    Look just fine. My preference is just a little shorter hair but fish will let you know. Tie on.

    Hey FurFlyin, What I just posted is assuming these jigs are for crappie or blue gill. If I'm walleye or bass fishing those jigs are well proportioned.

    Thanks for the clarification. I'll be using these for Sauger and hopefully the very rare in Alabama, Walleye.

    Stripers love those,,I used them for years tipped with salt pork tails,,,,I think bacon would work as well,,,,,

    I agree, I catch 20 to 1 sauger over actual walleye.

    I did learn I can't draw a circle worth a flip. LOL I don't know if I like the black circle around the outside of the eye. I was trying to make the yellow eye stand out more against the white head. Might go with silver circle on the next round.
