    Default Welcome 2021

Here we go folks, my philosophy is you can't catch this years fish with last years jigs. This is the time of year I go thru jig boxes, archive the jigs that were flops and make room in boxes for new things I want to try. Can hardly wait to see what shows up here this year. Happy New Year

Exactly what I'm doing. Working on some inline spinners with a single hook soft hackle fly. Might give trout fishing a go this spring. Plague kept us from our usual camping trout fishing vacations last spring. Maybe 2021 and the vaccine will improve the situation. Happy Healthy New Year to all!!

I hope this thing turns around to. Love my in-lines but use them for spawning crappie. Can't wait.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of less than perfect jigs/lures?

I take my less desirable/unproductive jigs and save them till summer when they have kids fishing derbies. Take them there and hand them out, kids love it they just want something free.

Hey Takem, I swear you'll never have more fun than sharing that stuff with young folks at a derby. They are so appreciative at just getting stuff free. You can give it to someone that's going if you can't go. I just love seeing the smiles of those kids. Heck, sometimes I don't have much to donate so I'll pour up a batch of 1/16 oz or 1/32 and paint them bright colors to hand out. It really doesn't cost much and we might just get one kid hooked on fishing instead of something else.

Very good gesture Grumpy. I’ve given out jigs and jigheads too and it’s good on both ends. Extra good when you see them a few weeks later and hear them tell of the fish they caught. And like you say, cost peanuts.
