Question Got some squirrel tails - need ideas for bream jigs

Several squirrels by my house recently made reckless traffic decisions, and so I have acquired 3-4 nice winter-coat gray squirrel tails to use for, you guessed it, squirrel tail jigs. I watch Richard Gene on YT, and he is always using a small squirrel tail jig on bedding bream in the spring, so I want to tie some up for this spring. I can tie a pretty good feather/marabou and chenille jig, but I have never tied a hair jig for bream.

It would help me a lot if members could post any pictures of squirrel tail jigs they tie, as I need ideas. I will be searching youtube vids, so if you have a video you like, please post a link. Oh, forgot to say, got a couple buck tails as well, but those are for some striper/hybrid jigs another time. THANKS

I don't have any pictures of any, but I've tied a bunch over the years. I use a 1/32 ounce head no collar and a #8 hook. I typically paint the head black, with a white eye and use red thread. I have also tied some with orange thread and a brown head and white head and white thread.

Crappiedreamer made these. I love fishing with squirrel tails and everything loves to eat them! Lol

The last picture in that collage reminds me of our water here most of the summer.

Yeah it doesn’t take much rain for us to have chocolate milk to fish in, so it’s like that a lot.

Well I don't have many pics of squirrel tail jigs, but I did find one, but the pic is not great for sure.

I think that’s squirrel tail like in his signature pic. I bought a pack like that from him.

All good looking jigs so far. I tend to like mine a little shorter than some folks. Tons of fun to tie and pitch.
