    Thoughts on how these would work on clear lakes like Bull Shoals. Too much fur? Opinions welcome.

    I'd leave the marabou off the first one, would be a killer jig around here. I love squirrel tail jigs. Maybe little heavy on the second one, but till you fish it, you'll never know.

    If those are your first, I'd say you're off to a good start.

    Ya just got a cheap tying kit and some rabbit zonkers. First two I've tied. I plan on giving them a bath in the morning.

    I agree, goid start. After awhile you will find the proportions that work for you. Just keep at it!

    Very good start. Allergies keep me away from rabbit fur but I do like the action. Proportions will balance in time.
