Any thing you want, great colors.
I heard Santa is bring me a tie flying kit for Christmas. So I'm collecting some material while it's hunting season. What kind of jigs and flies can I tie with these? The capes/skins are drying as we speak!

Grey ghost comes to mind
How much string do you need to fly your ties?

One deadly color combo for almost any place is Silver head, Blue Body and White tail.
You have a lot of hackle on these birds, but most useful in them in the soft hackle. Maybe the flank feathers will be good too. As much as I hunted when I was young and clean a ton of geese and ducks, I don't know what kind (look) of feathers they have. I know much of the soft hackle may be a bit wide, but should still work.
If you get some Gadwall, Teal or Pintail, the flank feathers is very nice!

Thanks, I'll keep that color combo in the memory banks.
I do have a lot of access to gadwall, pintail, teal and other species of waterfowl. I'm excited to start using other parts of the birds I shoot. I also have 3 pheasants my buddy is drying for me and some diver ducks.
