Looks good. Is that lateral scale under the rabbit?

Looks like it will work and should catch some for you!

One thing the picture is not real clear, but looks like you may be crowding the head with the rabbit a little? Just cut it and wrap your thread over the end of it so it's good to go while holding the hairs back with your other hand. Still looks like your on the right path and I believe you will love it in the water!

I just fixed the slide show in the stick post so you can look at using a crosscut strip, but the regular zonker type cut would tie the same way if not using a tail. Zonker tail can be added.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I am really enjoying this. so many different directions you can go. I usually start long lining Bandits this time of year but am going to try making some larger jigs and see if they will hit them. The rabbit has a lot of movement....esp when it bounces on the bottom. Been testing in the pool and I dont see how a crappie could resist it. Woohoo.
I also like the action of marabou. Seen a video on how it should be wrapped....much better than just tying on a clump. Lots to learn.

So happy I bought a bot 80 capes and saddles from an old fellow. Sold about 30 of them and got most of my money back. Now i'm able to get more....don't know if it will ever stop.

    Great looking streamer jig!

I like both rabbit and marabou. Both give great action but rabbit is pretty durable, holds up well to many fish.

So far for collars I prefer the dubbing loop over palmering marabou, leaves less bulk underneath.
