I made these in the 70's and had forgot about them till I stumbled on them today. It is a floating head and have no idea what the rest is. They worked well but once I started boat fishing I moved away from them as the tackle monster got me and I found I had more stuff to try than time to do it. It was a nice 3 way rig.

Love this! Have jigs changed much since the 70's? 60's? or 50's? I wonder how far they go back?

We used jigs as I grew up thru the 50's and 60's. My go to lure for most of my life.

LOL, in the 50's I was using H&H Spinner baits, top water baits, worms, minnows, shrimp even Salmon eggs and anything else I could get hold of. However I don't remember using jigs in the 50's, but know they were there. Now the 60's I was getting old enough to really get into more bass fishing and jigs along with all the other stuff.
Not sure how many guys will remember getting live shrimp in sawdust in a bag from the bait shop?

Skip, our shrimp in Iowa were dead as a hammer head but we used then and dead minnows in a little jar. Awe, the good ole days. Not so much.

Guys I am not sure, but we use to get them at a store in Orange Tx. named Levingston's Tackle Shop. He sold some guns too. Actually is where my friend and I got our Colt .22/.22 Mag six shooter with interchangeable cylinders. Back them they were like $69.00, lol!
As for the shrimp I don't remember how long they lasted, but we probably used them up pretty fast. He would put a bunch of damp sawdust in a bag with the live shrimp and off we would go, lol!

Skip I had me one of them Colt 22/22 mag 6 shooters. If I remember the model was called a New Frontier. I paid $95 I think. 50's and 60's I was flipping dried cow pies over for worms for trout bait and watering the yard to pick night walkers for bass in the river. Graduated to salmon eggs and salted minnies for trout. Then store bought spinners, flies and streamers for trout. I had a real job then. Got paid. Our farm didn't pay so well though the food was good till grandma passed. Now it's homemade jigs and spinners with a touch of sauce or nibbles. Take Care fellas....Have a safe holiday!
Oh ..our shrimp comes frozen from Sam's Club.
