Default thread What do you use?

The thread I have keeps breaking. I had some that looked like mono and it worked great. What I have not has a 6 on it but breaks easier than any 6 # I ever used. What do you use?

I use Danville 210 and 140 denier flat waxed thread! There are lots of kinds and prices, you can also get stronger thread if you want, but most use the Danville Flat Waxed 210 and some like their Fly Master series!

I use 210 flat waxed also, Danville or UTC. Sometimes you got to go with what you can find brand wise. I do some stuff lashing wire to a hook shank and put a lot of pressure on 210 to flatten the wire on the hook shank without problems. If you break 210 maybe check your bobbin tip for grooves/nicks.

I use 210 flat waxed 90% of the time. I use the 140 flat waxed the remaining times.

I use the 210 flat waxed Danville a lot but I have really enjoyed using Veevus 140 power thread lately.

That is some awesome thread, but the cost even wholesale is high, but I do keep a few spools around in a couple colors, lol! As for Veevus I also have a little 8/0 to try and one spool of 240 denier and can't imagine how strong that stuff has to be!

Actually I also use a tiny bit of Uni 6/0 thread for their Kelly Green and one Blue. As a norm I do not like Uni thread, even the 3/0 I break way too easy!
