    For a new start, they look good! A little busy for me on that collar on the first one and would choose a different type hackle for that one. Second one is a little too close to tell much, but that collar material looks better, but an not sure it's on correct??

    Collar on the first one is a little busy but for some reason I like it! Looking good keep at it and they will get better and better. Welcomed to the addiction!

    Thanks for the engouement. The collar on the first one is a feather. Striped one side of the feather in the second one. It is additive...

    Thanks, my wife and I been living in St Lucia in the West Indies. We came back because the healthcare is not so good there yo say the least. Cant wait to go back but at least im crappie fishing and tying jigs.

    If you try using some saddle hackle for your collars it will work really nice and then no need to strip one side of the hackle.

    Looks like you have the right idea though and of course the addiction only gets worse, lol! If you do want a soft longer kind of collar try some soft hackle on them.
