Tie the body on and whip finish at the head. After this I go to the middle of the body and start new thread wrap and add the silicone legs on each side. Use only three or so wraps to attach legs and again whip finish. Trim silicone legs to lenght being careful to leave them long enough too have good action. Hope this is helpful.

Silicone strips from a outfit called Skirts Unlimited. Some is a very fine grade called froghair. I've had a supply for probably 15 years from when I tied a lot of bass jigs and spinnerbaits. The froghair might not be available any more. Barlow's used to have some pretty small stuff.

This looks like a description of what I called frog hair from them. They may have renamed it. Super action on small jigs and flies. Name: Screenshot_20200616-183224_Chrome.jpg

I wish they had more colors in that Finesse series. I have a lot of the other size in great colors, will get some of these as well, didn't know about this half size skirt material so thanks for that tip!

I am running short of Chartreuse leg material. The material I have been using has 60 strands per inch. The last batch came from Lure parts online but they don't carry chartreuse any more.
I see the frog hair is bigger in diameter. :-(

Try living rubber website. They have lots to choose from. I think the "fine" is what you need.

    Living Rubber Co. - chartreuse
