Glass beads are funny in the sense that there are plenty out of round. Also hole diameter is not consistent. They do out shine any plastic bead I even saw. Some have what looks like the hole is tinned so I think this causes the diameter problem. Czech beads seem to be close to round but hole size varies a bit. What I try to do as I am tapering the thread the last bit I try to line the beads with my thumbnail. Sometimes it works and sometimes they are too tight to move. I coat the thread with a bit of Sally Hansen so that should lock them.
I have never used beads. I wonder how much UV transmits through them. Might be able to use UV resin, position, then cure?
