    Default Threadfin Shad

Broke out my jig tying supplies during quarantine, plenty of time to kill! My favorite color combination in the lake I fish (Shearon Harris, NC) is anything shad with a little green (i.e. Kalin's Lemon Meringue), very productive. The primary forage is threadfin shad, which explains why the shad/green combo works.

Anyhow, decided to get creative and actually came up with something decent that has the right colors and should work pretty well on the crappie!

Good looking tie. I have done well with the grey colored jigs in the past.

Very nice ties. I’ve tied many variations of the gray ghost, which this strongly reminds me of, but never added the flouro green. I like it and will no doubt tie some for my box. Thanks for the post and the idea. Keep us posted, I’ll bet they do well.
