    I'm sure the crappie will like them just fine! Really think most of the little details are more for us than the fish.

    To offer you some helpful criticism - A few of these tails might be a little short. Having the right overall length and profile is something I do think is important.

    In the end it's all about catching fish, so if they like it you done good!

    I never really know how long to make the tails
    1/3 body, 2/3 tail?

    So far I don't have any hard and fast rule - I just go by what looks "right' to my eye. Whatever the length of the entire hook, my tails usually stick out about that same length behind the hook.
