I bought some painted with eyes 1/16th jigs that have #4 hooks on them.... And then I had another painted with eye 1/32nd...it has a #6 hook or maybe a #8.
I like the pre-painted eyes much better than my feeble attempts to paint my own heads let alone putting in some decent eyes.
The feathers are just all I have right now. But I tied different chenille. The top one is a June bug color and I think size 12....
In y'all's opinion, does it look ok on a jig this size?

hankll thanked you for this post
Eyes are for people. Fish don't care. That said, I pour and paint my own and I put 3D eyes on mine. Just gives me more confidence.
Don't worry, catch crappie.trypman1 LIKED above post
I am a eyes fisherman, I paint all my own, i enjoy it too. And my confidence is up with them. That being said, I have a buddy that is quite accomplished at fishing and just wants a plain gray jighead.

I do want to elaborate on what I posted before. Most of these guys have heard this before from me and I apologize for boring them. I think that a predator fish has no idea what an eyeball is, but I do believe they understand that when they can see the eye they know that 90% of the time that eyeball on one end is the direction the minnow will try for an escape and the crappie is prepared for this. Thus lunch is served. That is why I put eyes on my baits. Might not help but I feel it doesn't hurt. Besides, it is part of the addiction.

Agreed on the addiction part! And for me the eyes have to be there.
But at the same time, I have done a fair amount the gray head, too!

I do it both ways, all my little Roadrunner type baits have a Black eye, many of the regular heads I tie do not have any eyes. However I do have a bunch of eyes and some heads for eyes and have even tied some. Actually I am more likely to put eyes on now that I don't tie a lot. Now if you ask me if they make a difference I may have a different answer, lol!

I mostly fish em nekked. I have more powder paint than most of us could use in their lifetime. There are some applications that I like a colored head, and if I have the time( which is mostly in short supply lately) I enjoy building a good paint and eye job on even the tiniest jighead. My confidence in the color combos of the jigs I tie don’t relate to whether or not they’re painted and have eyes. Now that I have some resident fish to run em by I should make up some done both ways and get their opinion. Some places I fish I’m brutal about bouncing the jig off of concrete and no matter what paint was on them it wouldn’t be there for long. Thought just crossed my mind of putting a white dot with a black center on a bare head and then clear coating it. Might be something to that, we’ll see.......

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
I don't think it matters much. I just usually want contrast between the head and body.
