Hey y'all !
Anybody use chicken feathers for tying jigs ? Are there any problems with these I should know about before wasting my time ?
I acquired a mess of chickens a couple of months ago, and there are feathers everywhere !
I plan to bust out the vice today, and see what I can come up with.
Thanks

I've never seen a chicken grow a squirrel tail before! LOL Those feathers look like they'll make some nice minner tails to me.
Some will be better than others and you will soon find out which is best and which is for something else.

Maybe Fatman, will speak up. You need to wash them, don't want any lice, or what not in your house.

I have used a few of the dropped feather off of the chickens I have. I see some Barred Rock feathers in the bunch

Like others have said, I think you’ll find the good ones pretty quick. Show em off when you’re done.
