I also took advice that you guys posted on my first attempt and cut the maribou off the stem and I tried to stop the chenille before the hook point, but I didn't get that accomplished. The weaving of the chenille took a little getting use to.

Flo pink and light pink chenille, white and flo pink maribou.

    Really nice job.

I wouldn't think you liked me if you didn't poke at me. LOL I've got a bad itch to try some out. I'm gonna take off Monday and try the south end. I hope I can find some.

Yep, the itch should get taken care of when you start catching with that....I said it before, I'm going to try and copy it, too.

I got out on the water today, but the crappie didn't cooperate. I've never fished much at all with hand ties or tied jigs of any sort. I knew they wouldn't cast like a jig body but was surprised by the drop in casting distance of a 1/32 and the rate they sink in the water is much slower than a jig body jig. I'll have to figure out the casting distance thing, possibly go with a more limber rod or a heavier jig and I think the slower fall rate will be fantastic, once I get on fish. The action looked great on the "pink phantom" jig.
