Really never have any use for that as I would cover that all up? Maybe if your gonna use them for something else?

Did you heat the hooks and powder coat them?

I use red ones for fishing with minnows
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I did up a bunch a few years ago. I couldn’t really tell a difference in bites when mixed with plain hooks. Wallet anglers use them quite a bit. Just my opinion but if it gives the angler more confidence then they work. If not it’s not worth fooling with. Needless to say I don’t have a box full.

I use red with minnows like G but like Cray I don’t notice much difference. I go with #2 whatever is cheapest brand.

I have fished with a guy for forty years that swears the only hook a person needs is gold. I do use colored hooks on walleye live bait rigs.
Last week I tried a double rig with a pink one on top and a plain gold hook on bottom.
For some reason they hit the pink more often. Might have been the color, might have been the depth.
Nevertheless it’s always fun trying something new

Here on the coast of NC our water is very stained or dark. When minnow fishing I use a gold hook, red, or a light green. They are packaged that way. I think that the gold ones do better next up is red. When I tie jigs I mix them up. I personally think that the gold is best.
