Nah, not needed. I started with the AA vise and I tied just as good with it as I do with my Peak vise. The peak helps with rotating to view the sides and then glueing but the end product is the same. Your jigs look good. We still have hope for you....:Rofl
Send me your vise for a demo tryout.
Thanks

No problem. Where would you like me to send the AA vise? :biggrin
What Supa Dave said, Not Needed!! I've thought about upgrading too a Renzetti or Peak. This one lays nicely in my craftsman tool box... & can still hold a jighead. Whipped these up tonight

Oh, and these have tips and V's mixed :fish
Doesn't;t matter what vise you have, it matters only the techniques you use in the tying. That is why I pics the lessons at FAOL, they know their stuff so well aunt ease are the same lessons I used 15 years ago to lear so much! I know it's flies, but I also know they use the same materials we do and even more than we do. SO All one needs to do is find a fly lesson they are tying that uses the same kind of materials you want to use and see how they tie it in and use it. There is so much valuable info right here on the internet, but it's not a video, well I guess that not easy enough so we should all avoid it, lol! Give it a shot at learning all you want to know!

Where do yall get the hackel you use and what kind are you buying
I prefer to tie on #4 hooks 1/24 & 1/6 oz and alot of the hackel I have the v's I cut aren't long enough to make a decent tail on the jig after the tip is cut out I feel like the rest of the feather is a waste
What kind of hackle are you using?
I use the saltwater hackle and it all came from Skip.
