    Default Jig Box

I’ve been looking for some different choices in jig boxes.

SK has a great one he has made that holds a ton of jigs utilizing Plano boxes. Check him out on YouTube to see them if you haven’t already.

Skip has an older post here on forums with a box from Hobby Lobby which is a good one. https://www.crappie.com/crappie/jig-...storage-maybe/

Abbott recently showed the 7” poly boxes which are good as well. https://www.crappie.com/crappie/jig-...-sunday-tying/

I found these boxes from bass pro and decided to try them. They are a little pricey but I like them. Nice and neat. Suppose to fit 3600 box. Just need to fill it up now. Access Denied

Anybody have another good box? Please post here so everyone can reference them and see what works for them. Thanks

I use the same thing, but in a smaller size.

The Bugger Barn is another good option. It's not cheap, but nothing in fly fishing is.

I contacted Plano about selling a slit foam insert for their open compartment boxes. To me it seems a no brainer since they already have the size boxes everyone uses and I would think could be done fairly easily and inexpensive. I was told they have pluck to fit foam and it was $40...

    Ahhhhh no thanks.

Nice, but - looks like it would crack easily, and not waterproof (I fish in a kayak as well as the big boat and sometimes stuff gets wet). I bought a Plano waterproof 3700-size bulk box and plan to glue some strips of foam inside. Should be able to hold a lot of jigs and will be waterproof. Just need to find the right kind of foam.. was hoping SK will post the video on how he made his, but I think he is off chasing deer.

I found some closed-cell foam from a shipping box and will probably try to cut some strips from it to use.

I've been using these and haven't had any issues with them so far. They are double sided and small so if room is an issue they should help. Just another option for you. Name: 20190916_131034.jpg

Craft foam looks like the stuff in the fly boxes. Quick search brought up an adhesive backed craft foam 12inch by 18 inch. I believe it cost 99 cents.

The fly boxes I have are waterproof. I checked they did not have a name.
