My Bluegill favorite is a fly that has about 4 or 5 wraps of led wire around the shank under the chenille. Called a Bream Killer and can have a tail or not. Actual recipe legs are White, but I did some different for kicks. Still will send the email we have talked about. Think a #10 hook.

Just curious if he used a fly rod or added some split shot,etc. Have cast dry flies before with a spinning rod using the clear floats.
Or as you said tie on a jig hook...
