I buy my silicone legs off eBay for cheap. Just do a EBay search for "Silicone Skirt Tabs". I tie all of my gill jigs with legs because I think gills like bugs more than baitfish. . My favorite colors are black and orange/brown.

Mine are marginal at best. I did fish with a fly rod a little as a kid, but that was 60 years ago, lol! I can cast a little and all you do with a fly rod is what the white legs as it sinks and if you loose sight of that, just watch the fly line leader knot for the jerk. Very cool and so much fun!

Also it's been a while, but the silicone I bought came from...... Fishing Skirts | Buy jig skirting material, bass fishing tackle & more

As long as I can just stick to roll casts I'm fine. Otherwise it's 50/50 on what might happen!

I've been killing the sunfish on the fly rod. I've got some hand ties from Binfordw with the little legs and about every 2 casts I'm getting a bite. Name: 20190702_134825.jpg

I've watched all the videos you have suggested to me in the past and I'm night and day better at casting the fly rod than before. HUGE difference!

This is an interesting thread. I rent a room in the town I work in during the week and it's on a golf course. The ponds are loaded with bream and small bass. I have been catching a bunch on a #10 olive wolly bugger fly with no weight. Just a flouro leader and tiny little bump strips on the retrieve. But tying those little jigs for a light spinning rod sounds like a lot of fun. for those fishing them with say a 1/32 jig, how are you fishing those jigs with the rubber legs? Seems like it would sink too fast to just let it sink, seems like you would need to work it a little. These ponds have a lot of algae, so I can't let lures sink all the way to the bottom or they will foul up. Just curious how to work them.
