Those jigs, and colors, will do just fine. Listen to everyone and develop your own style. Look forward to seeing what’s next.

Happy to report the lower left jig, "fools gold" was responsible for 5 nice rainbow trout hooked, and 4 landed in the boat. River was stained but not muddy; we had had some storms yesterday and I wasn't sure I could fish today. I ended up having a real good day, and that jig was money. Here are a couple of the smaller victims.

I know this is crappie dot com, but it is too hot to hunt brushpiles and shoot docks, and there are too many rec boaters on the big waters. We just had another fatality on my home lake - the 12th this year. On the river it is cool breezes, and you can float down from shady spot to shady spot, and catch stockers and sometime world-class trout ALL DAY. 25 minutes from the house. Where do you think I am fishing?

Forgot to mention: huge order from Barlows arrives tomorrow, and the mother lode ov supplies is on the way from Skip later this week. I will never buy another fiber jig (I still need my plastics, BG, Southern Pro, CB, etc, yes I do, the fish get what the fish want. For now.).

Wow. 12 fatalities on one lake and the summer is far from over. I wonder how many times alcohol was involved. So sad.

Sounds like you had a relaxing trip with the added bonus of catching fish on a job that you made. Doesn't get much better than that. Can't wait to get to try my first jigs out. Still at least a week away for me.

Skip do you have a website? I need a few supplies and might be able to send some business your way.

Very nice looking jigs and fish! I fish for trout year round up here in Southwest Va / East Tn... something about a mountain stream that’s good for the soul! Congrats on a fun trip!

Top right jig, the gray JDM Daiwa jig, caught me some nice shellcrackers, and one huge 5+ bass (got off on the anchor rope). Then I lost it on a snag. Definitely tying a few more of those!

Gray jigs are my favorite and I've probably caught more with it then anything. Nice shellcrackers!
