Default Baking Powder Paint Jig Heads

Once dipped and dry, how do you guys bake powder painted jig heads in the oven? Do you have to hang them on some kind of rack, or do you just lay them on a piece of tin foil? Temp and time? Thanks!

Kenny, you need to build some kind of rack to hang them on. If you just lay them down it will stick to whatever they are laying on and mess up the paint.
This is my little rack I made out of some scrap I had in shop. Just used all thread and angle aluminum. Holds about 4 dz jigs. Threads help keep them separated.

That's what I thought. Didn't think you could just lay them on something. Like that rig. Thanks for the feedback Sailor!

I use a toaster oven that I have check where I have to set it to get the temps I want. I also made some racks for larger numbers of jigs. Let me see if I can find a pictures.

Okay found them. I made these from trash guards for gutters and I weighted the middle to keep stable with some left over cuttings of tile we had put in years ago. I am sure there are better items that can be made so just find something the jig heads will hang on and not hit anything when moving.

I use toaster oven also. Temp usually set to 350 for 20 min. I use magnets I get free from Harbor Freight when they have em as a free item when you buy something. Magnets usually last me about a year B4 I have to replace em. Works well for me!!Name: P1010676.JPG

I made mine out of tinfoil baking pans and coat hangers cut. I poked a hole in one side ran the hanger through to the other side. Space out the wire hangers about 8 inches. Hang jigs and bake.
