    Default Red ear jigs

Heading to Ky Lake next week to bluegill and red ear fish. I’d like to tie up a few jigs to try. If anybody could share some of there jigs I’d appreciate it. Pictures if you got them or color size that sort of thing. Thanks Mike

What size are they. Look good to me but I’ve never used jigs for redear or bluegill.

I think they are 1/4 and 1/8. I'll have to look up what I ordered. They are actually 1/8 and 1/16. Got them from a guy on Facebook.

Look up Rocky Mountain Custom Jigs on Facebook. That's where I got them

These are devastating on bluegill and red ear. Crappie, spots, and cats love them too. These are tied on 1/40 heads and 1/100 ball jig heads. The tails are left long so they can be trimmed on the water to control fall rate. The double tails can be clipped to just one tail also for faster fall. The chenille and braid body material protects the squirmy worm material from the thread cutting through it when wrapping and is also a fall rate control. Try blood red for redear.

I fish these under a strike indicator on a fly rod or ultralight. Cast so the rig lands straight and let it fall to a stop. It usually doesn't stop...Name: 20190511_201633.jpg
