Just playing around here and wanted to see what this would look like and maybe try fishing it this coming week, after the storms of course.

i have a better way to make them. i furl 2-3 strands of cloud9 eyelash yarn then trim it to a point at the tail. for larger ones i use snuggle up eyelash yarn either one or two strands . this works great on a chatterbait head too. rich mc from illinois

Nice ties Skip, very different. I’ll bet that some striper flies are being made with those, cool stuff.

Thank you, but I am just playing around with these and don't plan on making them on a regular basis. I bought a pack of 3 different sizes and some colors, but just to play with. I have way too many materials now don't bass fish much at all any more. If I bass fish usually it's spring using a punch rig/jig in the grass near the banks looking for a monster. I gave up chasing the bass almost 20 years ago now and my body and age will not let me do much of that.

There is a good video of them being tied up on Youtube. He cuts them in half and makes two of them from one.

Yes I have seen that video, but have not tried that yet. At some point I will, but for me these cost a lot for what they are so it will have to last well too if I buy any more. Even at Wholesale they are high!

Retail you will have to pay over $1 each for the tail. Probably $7 or a little more for 5 of these.

I plan on just making a cast off my bank, but the weather has been bad so I just put it off, but maybe tomorrow!

Well I did manage to take it to the water yesterday to get it wet. The lake being down a good bit right now means I was not planning on any fish where I was on my little dock, but the thing looks great in the water and the tail wiggles when just reeling it. I can't wait to be able to put it in front of a fish! I just tried the top pic or the short one so maybe the longer one is even more active?
