Swivel size for "Road runner"

Before I buy a pony head mold, I'm going to try tying a swivel on a hook shank, behind the lead head...

What size swivel would I need for a 32'nd ounce jig? Also, what size blade would you recommend?

#12 and a 00 blade. Smallest split ring you can manipulate

Just asked this question not to long ago. The link is attached but seems size "0" was the majority vote. That's what I purchased and used on mine and they seem sized right. I haven't fished with them yet though.

I use roller swivels (Mustad #14 and import #8). European/Asian sizing is not the same as American. My blades (willow, Indiana, & Colorado) are size 00 for #8 & 6 hooks (1/48th, 1/32, & 1/24th). I'm using SS jump rings to attach the blades to the swivel - a lot easier to use then split rings.

EDIT: I looked up jump rings. Those would be much easier than split rings. LH, what size do you use?

The blade size will depend on the Mfg. of the blade. A 00 from Worth is the same size as a 0 from the other guys, sorry I can not think of their darn name right now! Also seems no matter what I search for all it will tell me is the ones selling retail, lol!

The smallest ones from LPO is ~1/4". Most of the ones you find on fleabay are made with soft wire and won't work for attaching blades. Jump rings from LPO are stainless steel - work great. There is a trick to closing them... It is possible to harden the other rings used for jewelry making. I have some 2-3 & 4 mm rings (some ovals) made of copper and silver that I need to work.
