    Default weightless jigs

I want to catch some crappie this spring with my fly rod.
I made up a dozen jigs without a head so I could cast them.
    Any one tried this?

It ought to produce some fun “online” action.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

This is a weedless balanced fly that i tie and use under a float. The head is a brass bead. the hook is a #10 Matzou. Probaby weighs about 1/100 oz. weedguard is 10# mono but can be tied without it.

Here is a 14" crappie I caught on this fiy without the weedguard off my dock several days ago. I fish it under a weighted float on a spin rod but you could fish on flyrod also.
