Default CHALLENGE - Mr. Crappie Joker Blue Tuxedo

So the first challenge has been made. In your best attempt tie a jig that resembles or is inspired by “Mr. Crappie Joker Blue Tuxedo”. This is just for fun and to try to help inspire and get creative. Let’s see those jigs! Hair jig, feather, tinsel or whatever. Anything goes as long as it’s based on subject.

Here in the north that tail will outperform the tied ones. Just saying my thoughts, but I fish a lot of plastic just love catching crappie on something I made. Good luck

Here my favorite bait is a Pony or Roadrunner that is Chart/Blue/Chart and has done very well for many years. Once the lake clears up a little I go to a Silver/Silver/FL Blue and of course these are all Marabou tails.

Ok here is my attempt. The 3 legs is the major part of the joker. I wanted to incorporate them into the design somehow. I remember Rawr and the bead trick he did and used that with high-vis mono for the legs. I then used fluorescent yellow hackle to finish the tail. Then I weaved black and blue chenille to put blue on one side, black on the other. I’m happy with how this turned out. Not bad for first challenge.

That's a good match and weave. Wonder how the beads hang in the water

That’s the idea. Get everyone thinking and trying new things. A challenge! And yes, I started tying jigs at Christmas and it’s very addicting.
