Great looking tie brother. I think that technique gives the jig a nice natural layered look.
Not sure if there is a specific name within the crappie realm, but i based this design off a trout fly called the Cat Whisker, so I'll just call this the Cat Whisker Jig for now. I like using this method to put multiple colors of hair, in this case marabou, so that they are split above and or below the main body, rather than bunched up at the tail. Let me know what your thoughts are

I have tied jigs like that before, except using hair for the wing and tail. I am sure it will work.
