Well I have these little Quick Clips that I use and can change a jig faster than you can change soft plastic and I can always put the old one back on, lol!

I bought all my Roadrunner heads from Blakemore and I just cover the swivel with tin foil, but some guys keep cold water handy and after the head is hot they dip just the swivel in the water and then into the paint. I just don't want to take as much time between the heat and the dip in paint as I am not swift enough to be comfortable dipping in the water and then into my paint. I just see too many ways for me to mess up!

I believe my way hasn't hampered any of my fish catch rates. Several can attest that "I can hold my own"...

Do what works you and rock on.

Oh I don't doubt that and I use soft plastic on bass all the time and probably have 50 pounds of crappie soft plastics, just don't use it and no reason why except I don't care for the fish tearing my jig up that fast.
