    Default Some tiny Bait fish

These are some tiny bait fish I made up today. I might tie on a few strands of marabou or kip tail. They should get bit by a bigger fish looking for a little fish to eat. The other side is nickle plated so it will reflect the sun and attract the fish to this lure.

So these are the shells also? Wonder if you could put two together with hook in middle to make a fish shape?

Nice work Ship. Something you don’t see everyday. I like it!!!

Thanks. How heavy are those? Guess you could add more or less solder for weight.

No problem my friend. Have fun making yourself some awesome creations. I look forward to seeing them. Remember to solder only with gold hooks. A bronze, brass, or red hook will not suffice.

These are one inch long and about 1/64th ounce. After the soldering process you will see the solder set. That is when I take forceps and hold the lure over the powder paint jar. I take a baby spoon and sprinkle the lime powder paint on the lure while the rest of the powder paint falls back into the jar. I then take a paint can opener and spread another contrasting color on. After that you carefully take the solder gun and lightly touch the back of the lure on the nickle area about two seconds at a time until the powder pain has melted.

After that I take a can of black outdoor spray paint and spray some into a lid. Cut off the tip of a toothpick and dip it in the lid of spray paint and use it to add on the eyes or the dots.

That is a very good crappie lure during the hard water season.
Fine rubber skirt material also makes very good tail material.

You have such a creative mind Brother Mike. I'm about ready to see some more of your artwork... or have you given up on painting... just when you were about to bloom???
