Squirrel Tail Jig

Nice looking jigs, makes me want to thin out the squirrel population around here.

Been away for a day or so, but like the colors of that Squirrel tail, good job! Good looking stuff for sure! Agree with Adam and I also like to use a small collar with a flair or ball on the end of it to help not only control thread width, but also give a little lift to the hair so it flairs just a little.

Thanks Skip.I am going to tie my next squirrel jigs with the smaller collar.Makes sense that it would give the hair more action instead of locking it down like i have.Thanks.

Thank you.The jigs were from walmart a long time back.I think they were strike king found in the dollar bin.

That is interesting I have never seen anything like that in Walmart.

The jig hooks are made by strike king and usually found in a large white box on the bottom shelf under the Mr.Crappie Jigs and reels hanging on the racks.
I have seen them in a couple walmarts now and always a dollar a pack.There are 7 or 10 jigs in a pack.Several different colors and sizes.

Thank you.I have never tied jigs to sell just tie for me and my son usually.Its like therapy too me.I just enjoy trying to tie them.
